The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Basically the definition of a "bildungsroman" which follows a young man from sheepherding in Spain northern Africa where he helps sell crystalware to Egypt to the pyramids where he finds his Treasure. Easy to read, probably worth reading again a few times.
