Review: Code Name Verity

Code Name Verity
Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh my goodness.

Oh boy, this book is simply amazing. Told as journals kept by two very brave and believable young British women in the midst of World War II. Both breaking gender stereotypes in very different ways, both tough as nails in very different ways. Such a sad story, with loads of heroic and antiheroic people. I learned more about the French Resistance than I knew, and really felt for everyone in the story. Quite an amazing feat, really.
