Review: Monday Mourning
Monday Mourning by Kathy Reichs
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Three skeletons are found in the basement of a Montreal pizza shop which leads to a long search through previous businesses at that location, and the slow unraveling of a complicated case involving nosy neighbors, kidnapping, torture, Stockholm syndrome, and a big (somewhat obvious) twist. Also, Tempe's friend Anne shows up very fed up with her life and husband, and Ryan appears to be seeing some sweet young thing while still trying to canoodle with Tempe.
One of the things I like about Reichs' books is that she often explains where the ideas for the books came from. This one was creepy as heck.
