WELL! This was a completely surprising ending. I had no idea how all the disparate strands of this story were going to come together. Frankly, there's a rather HUUUGE strand that isn't addressed, though the only reason I know it's important is the way the later books play out.
Probably one of the better books of those I've read, including the more recent ones. Except for that whole impressively unbelievable bullet-stopping business.
