Review: The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared
The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I've heard this book described as the "Swedish Forrest Gump" but it's not. Or at least not exactly. Allan Karlsson is the 100-year-old man of the title, and he has led quite the interesting life, traveled the world, helped with the atomic bomb development, and sat on a beach for a decade-and-a-half. Oh, and spent time in a loony-bin. Which may just be the one place that had him figured out, but for the wrong reasons.
Funny funny book. Loved it. I'll remember these characters for a long time.
