This started rather slowly because it seemed to be clearly a "move the series along" title. However, then it got seriously weird and interesting, what with Harry being forced to work for the dark side (kinda), and Butters. O M G, Butters! I do hope he returns in future books--he is simply awesome! Harry has a major choice to make in his outlook on where his magic comes from, and he gets a massive and really startling promotion.
The only down side is that Murphy isn't really in the book at all.
