Wow. I need to add this series to my "read 'em all" list!
Even though I had a general sense of the thread of the story from fairly early on in this story, there were enough loose ends and side plots that I had to keep reading. This is about a decades long series of murders and a total creepazoid and Roy Grace trying to get on with his life.
The ending. Oh my goodness--I really will need to read the next book because there are a couple of giant bombs that go off in the last pages of this one that Grace will have to deal with in the future.
I love finding new-to-me book series.
