I read this in a very disjointed way, so the plot got away from me a bit. However, it was well-done, with characters I adore. Clare is pregnant and she and Russ go on their delayed honeymoon which turns out to be about as un-honeymoon-like as can possibly be, what with meth labs, a missing and very ill child, and the Ice Storm of the Century. Meanwhile love blossoms among the officers. Good book. Crappy ending, though.
