Well, finally: a book with all kinds of hype that mostly lives up to it. There were some excessively convoluted parts, but these are characters that are interesting to me, and the story--while horrific in every way--was really interesting (though I sorta had a feeling about the Big Reveal). And for those who read suspense or mystery fiction and have heard that this book is particularly violent and gory...it's not any worse than anything by Faye Kellerman or Patricia Cornwell.
Yes, I'll be snagging the next book soon.
