Review: Spiral
Spiral by Roderick Gordon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Interesting, not the least because I managed to get fully involved in this one before being sure I'd missed the previous book in the series. So now I'm in a quandary about going back to catch up.
In any case, lots of really hideous descriptions of Styx reproductive technique here....seriously gross, and probably massively appealing to teenage horror movie buffs. Also, blowing things up, retired Army members take to the streets again, a hidden government bunker, and more deaths among the rebels.
And ... Eden. Kind of hard to say much about these books without giving everything away. Let's just say that the big theme here is family: what it is, who counts as family, and what it means in each person's life.
