Bible : The Story of the King James Version, 1611-2011, by Gordon Campbell

It took me months to finish this, but it was worth it. Quite a good overview of the creation of the KJV and its continuing impact on culture and the western world over the past 500 years. This even talks about the various translations that have come about in the past 150 or so years, many of which are based on the translation done five centuries ago. I never realized that.
