I finished this eons ago, but never got around to actually entering it here. I really didn’t read it; it’s mostly a picture book that I scanned while eating lunch one (or two) days.

There are some lovely buildings here. There are also some really ugly buildings. Thanks to my dad--who felt that above all, buildings should be practical and usable, even if that meant sacrificing ‘fancy‘ and ‘creative‘--I take a lot of modern architecture with a grain of salt.

I think one day what I might like to do is take an architectural tour of the world, seeing all the really different kinds of buildings humans have come up with from yurts to Chartres.

Not today, though.
