That's What I Call Commuting, by Ed Gabrielse and Mike Holinka

(1410797074)
Having ridden on the Metra the few times I have, even I could contribute a story for this book. The authors are a long-time commuter and a conductor, but the stories are told from the latter point of view. Some of them are pretty horrifying (several pedestrian death stories), some are disgusting (involving bodily fluids) and a few are kind of sweet. Would have been helped by including more anecdotes, or details, or something: both The Beast and I read this yesterday (well, I finished it this morning). Obviously self-published, but that's ok. It would be a good book to take on the train to get conversation started. And they are supposedly writing a follow-up volume called Tickets Please. Probably should tell Mark about this...
