This reminds me of a mash-up of Guys & Dolls (the movie) and Sunday School at a particularly gloomy church. It's the whole of the Comedy: Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven. All the characters look straight out of the 40s and 50s. Very odd.
I guess it's good that I read this, since I've never made it past Hell in the actual printed version. Now I can say I know how it all ends. ;-)

Love Wins, by Rob Bell
Great book. Not the best-written book, but the ideas in it are good. Not sure it goes as far as it could, but as far as it does go it's good. And he's taking a lot of flack for saying that heaven and hell are a little less locationally-based than most people think. Props to him.

The Gates, by John Connolly
These gates are those that surround Hell. The big Hell, where Satan and his minions reside. And science manages to break a hole through. Funny book. May have to find more by this author!
