Jesus Before the Gospels: How the Earliest Christians Remembered, Changed, and Invented Their Stories of the Savior by Bart D. Ehrman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
As usual, quite easy to read. This is really a study of how well our memories work in terms of remembering things that happened years before. Turns out, not great. So, if the gospels weren't written down till a generation or two after Jesus' death, how accurate can they actually be in terms of what we consider "fact"? Not so much.
Cue arguments.
