The Watcher in the Shadows by Carlos Ruiz ZafónMy rating: 3 of 5 stars
This is emphatically NOT a book to be read over the course of three months! It's actually very good, but because of the timing of the reading, it was a little choppy. For kids (10 to 15ish) it is a lovely adventure story in the old-fashioned way, full of creepy adults, some magic, some ghosts, sadness, first love, and angst.
The writing is good. I'll have to find another book by him to read properly!
