Review: 400 Things Cops Know: Lessons from a Veteran Patrolman on the Dangerous and Quirky World of Policing

400 Things Cops Know: Lessons from a Veteran Patrolman on the Dangerous and Quirky World of Policing 400 Things Cops Know: Lessons from a Veteran Patrolman on the Dangerous and Quirky World of Policing by Adam Plantinga
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Meant as a guide to keep authors of crime novels on point with their depictions of police procedure, the book is also a warm-hearted book about why cops are the way they are and some of the weirder things they have to deal with as part of their jobs. It is a good reminder that most cops are doing a job they love under some seriously difficult conditions and they don't always get it perfectly right.
