Oh so dated! Oh so funny! I have no memory of the story, though I know I did read it--my mom had a 1930s-era edition--but it absolutely cracked me up. As I remember it, she had a "roadster" but in this edition it's a convertible. Also, Laura Linney isn't the most fabulous reader. Still: NANCY DREW!!
