Pretty good, fun read if you were around in the 80s at the beginning of videogame and RPG culture. Also good for the regular quoting of 80s movies (and some books) and just the whole geek-cool theme. The ending was terminally predictable....in fact the whole plot was pretty predictable over-all, but it was fun to see how Cline built the story. And the main character, while far from likable, somehow isn't as annoying as, by rights, he really ought to be. The view of the future isn't so great, definitely dystopian in the extreme.
