Review: The Autobiography of Mark Twain
The Autobiography of Mark Twain by Mark Twain
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Mark Twain was quite the character, and he had a surprisingly large and hard life. So much death and sadness behind his humor. The end of this version of his autobiography is so sad, so very sad. And he pulls no punches with people he can't stand. There's a vignette towards the end about a society woman that is so scathing it might be actionable were she still alive...and funny as heck.
