This was exceedingly disappointing. I loved learning about pirates and the idea of Russell working with a (silent) film crew. The whole point of the reason she's there pretty quickly disappears completely--I had to keep reminding myself what that reason was--into farce and frank silliness. While I never mind humor in a book, this descended into absolute idiocy at several points. I didn't like it. Then it became, at the end, a dumb parody of Piracy in the Levant. Sigh....stupid.
